A new analysis by international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer shows that global M&A targeting high growth markets grew 5 per cent but UK investments dropped by more than half. Other key points include: US deal expenditure in high growth markets at a five-year high; and China continues to be the prime investment hotspot, with Mexico and Turkey experiencing the biggest increase, while investment in India fell sharply.
